Willow and Sage

This area of the Palouse becomes most colorful in the winter, when the willow shrubs drop their leaves to reveal bright reddish-orange branches. They add so much interest to an otherwise pretty desolate landscape. I really like how this painting came out, but I like the name especially... maybe someday I will open a shop and call it Willow and Sage.

  1. Dear Sheila! Willow and Sage reminds me about the life of a man in this world. One goes through life like through the desert. So is in the painting. You see the horizon and it takes strengths to overcome the obstacles to reach the aim. Thank you for provoking such thoughts.
